Welcome to the Bravo Fleet forums, also known as Relay Station Bravo. These forums exist as a venue for fiction writing for all members of the Fleet. If this is your first time here, please read this post. Getting involved with fiction writing in Bravo Fleet is very easy, and takes a few forms. If you have any questions, please ask your Task Force CO, the Dean of Cadets, or a member of the Lore Office.

Fiction here is the primary way our members get involved in Bravo Fleet canon. It is all set in Bravo Fleet's continuity of 2399, the same year as Season 1 of Picard. Information on the Star Trek universe at this period can be found on our wiki. The exception to this is fiction in the Holodeck section; these stories are usually set in other periods of Trek history within BF continuity. The majority of the stories here are written by members and focus on their primary character and/or the crew of their ship, as Starfleet officers assigned to Bravo Fleet.

To get involved, first, of course, please join the Fleet! These forums let you use your BFMS login to keep it simple. From there, you should turn your attention to the section of the unit you're assigned to - a Task Force, or Starbase Bravo if you're still a cadet.

If you're a Lieutenant or below, your port of call will be the section for your Task Force Headquarters. These stories are set on the starbase that acts as the TF HQ, and the area surrounding it, usually a galactic hotspot relevant to the Task Force's over-arching mission. As a junior officer, you can write stories about your primary character on assignment in the area - perhaps an encounter on the station, perhaps on a long-distance assignment by runabout. The introduction in each section can help make suggestions and, again, you can always ask your Task Force Senior Staff for help!

If you're a Lieutenant Commander or above, congratulations! You're entitled to request a starship (again, please consult with your TF staff on how this works). Once you have a primary character who's the commander of their own vessel, you can write the story of them and their ship. Simply start a thread in your Task Force's section with your ship name as the title, and get writing!

Remember that Task Forces can operate anywhere in the galaxy, and so your ship can, too. While each Task Force has a mission profile - the border defense of Task Force 86, the deep space exploration missions of Task Force 17 - these do not preclude you from telling other kinds of stories. Think of them as a point of inspiration, not a hard and fast requirement.

From there, dig in, and have fun!
