New cadet Sukorra Archer stepped through the airlock and entered a vast new world for her. 3 months ago she was accepted into bravo fleet academy and she will start her training tomorrow. She was excited and scared all at the same time, for this will be the first time she will be away from her parents. sukorra feels that as a descentent of the great jonathan archer she has shoes to fill
Sukorra walked up to the security counter and handed the officer a isolinear chip that held her ID and transfer orders. as the officer took the chip sukorra said “ Cadet Sukorra Archer'' reporting for flight training”
The officer took the chip and inserted it into the reader and looked at the information on his screen. “ Welcome Cadet Archer,”he said,”follow the green line to the training center.”. with that Sukorra headed off to the training center.
Over the next few weeks Sukorra adjusted to life at the academy. During her down time she explored the many levels of the starbase. One day she came across an old hanger that held a handfull of old shuttles. Most of these shuttles were in a state of disrepair. In the center of the hanger was an old waverider. When Sukorra explored the old Waverider she found that the computer was still intact and that the system still had some power.
The Next day Sukorra went to the dean of the Academy, and asked permission to work on the Waverider as a engineering project. The Dean agreed but made it clear that any new parts would have to go through the proper channels. she was also told to keep these new parts requizions to a minamume. whit that Archer went to work spending all her free time working on the waverider.
while she worked on the ship she also looked into its history. it turns out that the waverider was one of the surviving shuttle from the USS Requin. the Requin was destroyed in battle. only ten crew members survived using the waverider and the the two type-9 shuttles that the Requin carried.
while taking her classes Sukorra made a few friends. Over time Sukorra and her friends worked on the waverider, taking what parts they could from the other shuttles in the hanger, what they couldnt find they when through the proper channels and got new parts. Over the course of the 4 years at the academy, the group was able to get the waverider fully operational, even made a few improvements.
The ship was set up for .27 warp for impulse speeds. Warp drive is set to curse at warp 5 with a max speed of warp 7. The group presented it to instructors at the academy as a final project and they got high marks. Being the only pilot and since it was her project to start with Sukorra was awarded the Waverider to use for her first assignment as courier for taskforce 72
