The Osiris Initiative event will take place over 14 days, from Saturday 11 April to Friday 24 April inclusive. IC, the conference will last 5 days, with 3 OOC days per IC day - except for the final IC day, which will last two OOC days. A breakdown of the schedule, including the days of the briefings, is as follows:

  • IC Day 1: Saturday 11th - Monday 13th.
    • Opening Ceremony: Sunday 12th.
  • IC Day 2: Tuesday 14th - Thursday 16th.
    • Deep Space Operations (TF38 and 25) Briefing: Tuesday 14th.
  • IC Day 3: Friday 17th - Sunday 19th.
    • Beta Quadrant (TF93) Briefing: Friday 17th.
  • IC Day 4: Monday 20th - Wednesday 22nd.
    • Alpha Quadrant (TF72) Briefing: Monday 20th.
  • IC Day 5: Thursday 23rd - Friday 24th.
    • Closing Ceremony: Thursday 23rd.

It is the intention that the briefings themselves will be completed in one OOC day. We will, however, be flexible in the face of robust RP in any Q&A that may arise after the briefings.

The forum section for the IC day will be opened when we are ready to begin it. Often, the briefing thread will be the first post made; this does not mean people cannot write around their character's mornings beforehand. When the next IC day is started, players are encouraged and requested to as swiftly as possible wrap up their threads from the previous IC day. It will be necessary to play a little fast-and-loose with the timeline due to the limited OOC time for this event. We encourage posts to be time-stamped, and players are welcome to write their characters in different places at the same time OOC, so long as it does not of course clash IC. Obviously you are encouraged to be mindful of temporal paradoxes should you do this!

Aside from the opening and closing ceremonies, Days 1 and 5 are intended as opportunities for people to write their characters' arrivals and departures, the meetings and farewells, and more casual RP around station life. Similarly, the briefings are intended to be as short and sweet as possible, in terms of how much OOC time they take up, so players can read them and then get into the role-play around the implications of this new information.
